Account Executive

Sustainable Industries (www.sustainableindustries.com) is seeking its next Top Sales Producer.

We’re seeking an experienced, goal-oriented and entrepreneurial individual to serve as Account Executive for the company’s independent business media and events enterprises. We’re a growing media company based in San Francisco plans for expansion, offering unique entrepreneurial opportunities in the company. The Account Executive will work with the business team to grow that book of business. 

Main Duties:

• Sponsorship and advertising sales through personal meetings, phone calls, network and overall relationship building to businesses and agencies with California and national clients;
• Act as a key representative of the company in the business community;
• Collaborate with Business Team, and participate in weekly Sales Team meetings, check-ins, and all-staff retreats;
• Maintain quality account management with detailed Salesforce reporting, proposal writing, follow-up, closing and customer service for major clients;
• Create new opportunities, experiences and custom media packages for clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years sales experience with demonstrated track record of success meeting and exceeding goals;
• Existing business relationships to call upon;
• Advanced skills and experience working with Salesforce and Excel;
• Basic understanding and strong interest in business and sustainability issues;
• Sophisticated marketing knowledge (MBA preferred) and tested skills;
• Self-motivated, outgoing, positive, professional, entrepreneurial, respectful personality;
• Excellent collaboration, presentation and verbal and written communication skills;
• Enthusiasm working with small, tight-knit team;
• Ability to travel on occasion for 2-3 day periods.

The Account Executive role is commission-based, with the most generous commission rates in the industry. We will entertain both a contractor or full-time employee scenario. Target annual earnings are in the $65K - $75K range, following a ramp-up period, and can increase considerably from there.
