Aaron Fairchild, Founder and CEO G2B Ventures

Aaron Fairchild is a third generation lender and entrepreneur and has a deep understanding of residential and commercial finance, residential construction, and energy efficiency.  He has worked in Seattle to create energy efficiency programs and consumer financing solutions for existing buildings since 2004. Additionally, in the mid-90’s Aaron managed construction sites in Gabon, Central Africa with the Peace Corps.  Aaron holds an Executive MBA from the University of Washington.

 

 

 

 

Michelle Long, Executive Director Business Alliance for Local Living Economies

Michelle is the Executive Director of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, North America’s fastest growing network of socially responsible businesses, comprised of over 80 community networks representing 22,000 independent businesses. She also co-founded and directed BALLE member network, Sustainable Connections in Bellingham, Washington. Its membership, now over 700 locally owned businesses, has led the NRDC to name Bellingham the nation’s number one small city in urban progress toward sustainability and NPR Marketplace to call it the “epicenter of a new economic model”.  Michelle was recently named one of the west coast's "top five leading ladies of sustainability" by the Sustainable Industries Journal. She is the co-author of Local First: A How-to Guide, and is the author of the soon to be released Building a Community of Businesses: A BALLE  How-to Kit.

 

 

David Williams, CEO ShoreBank Pacific

David Williams is the CEO of ShoreBank Pacific, the first commercial bank in the United States with a commitment to sustainable community development. Williams has had successful careers in academia and manufacturing in addition to commercial banking. He holds Master’s degrees in both physics and economics. At ShoreBank Pacific he provides leadership to small and mid-sized companies in all phases of banking, with a focus on sustainability and working to stimulate the economies of rural communities in the Pacific Northwest. Under his guidance, ShoreBank Pacific has developed the premier positive evaluation system for assessing the sustainability performances of businesses. He is a frequent speaker on economic development at conferences throughout the country.
