- Over in Europe, McDonald's is showcasing sustainable farms through a new program called Flagship Farms. The program will highlight the efforts of farmers dealing with everything from soil, water and energy use to animal welfare and employee well being.
- Still hanging on to that old car with an eye toward turning it into a planter or something? Well, the government's got a deal for you! The Senate passed a cash for clunkers program valued at $1 billion.
- In other car news, Tesla says it will be profitable next month. Maybe then they'll lower prices and you can use some of your trade-in money from the government to get a Roadster.
- The Waxman-Markey Bill to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will cost each American household less than a buck a day. Much less actually.
- Also in Congress is a new transportation bill. The early word? "To be supplied."
- Oregon's Klamath County is re-making itself as Sustainable Klamath as it readies itself for the end of the recession.
- Women get it. Sustainability that is. According to a new survey, women business owners understand the importance of clean energy
