Better World Club launches help line for alternative fuel vehicle drivers.
The Portland-based Better World Club, a nationwide green auto club, and Pasadena, Calif.-based CALSTART, an advanced transportation technology consortium, are making it easier for drivers to find alternative refueling stations in California, Nevada and Arizona.

The organizations jointly launched the industry’s first toll-free phone service to provide easy access to CALSTART’s database of over 1,500 alternative fuel stations. Any driver, not just Better World Club members, can take advantage of the free service.

Mitch Rofsky, president and CEO of the Better World Club, says he wants to ensure drivers of alternative fuel vehicles don’t get stranded. The company also offers bicycle roadside assistance and provides eco-travel and hybrid car rental discounts to its members. The Better World Club reports annual growth of 25 to 30 percent.
